Not since the cornerstone for Old Main was set in 1880 has there been a more significant campus development in Geneva College’s history.
The Genevans Spring Concert was held Friday and Saturday, Mar. 28 and 29 in the John H White Chapel in Old Main on the campus of Geneva College.
Under the baton of director Dr. Robert Copeland, The Genevans performed a variety of songs — including Broadway musicals, folk songs, hymns and psalms.
Geneva College’s "The Genevans"
As part of its 70th anniversary celebration, Geneva College’s highly acclaimed mixed choir, The Genevans, brought to life the theme “The True Use of Music” in concert on March 28 and 29 at 8 p.m. in the John H. White Chapel on Geneva’s campus.
Under the baton of director Dr. Robert Copeland, The Genevans performed a variety of songs — including Broadway musicals, folk songs, hymns and psalms.
Established in 1938, The Genevans represent the merger of Geneva’s original men’s and women’s glee clubs. Since then, the choir has performed across the United States and Canada, as well as in ten European countries, to significant acclaim.
The Genevans have been directed for twenty-seven years by Dr. Robert Copeland.
